Greg Swindell is asking the public for help.
The former MLB pitcher and his wife Sarah Swindell recently shared that their daughter Brenna Swindell, 29, hasn’t been seen or in contact with friends and family since the evening of Aug. 22 in Texas.
“Her phone is off,” Greg wrote on Facebook Aug. 25 alongside a picture of Brenna and her former partner. “Her ex-boyfriend in the photo has a warrant and is violent so PLEASE if you have seen or heard from either one of them, let us know. She drives a white Kia Carnival which has not been located yet.”
“Brennie, if you see this,” he concluded, “we all love you so much and need you home!”
In subsequent updates, Greg and his wife shared they believe she is with her ex in Colorado, while noting they’re working in conjunction with the former boyfriend’s father to locate the pair.
“PLEASE keep the tips coming of any sightings or information,” the most recent update to the post read. “Again, her boyfriend is in trouble with law from when he assaulted her last month and we don't know if she went with him willingly, was talked into running away with him, or what.”
The concerned parents continued, “I still feel she would never abandon her 3 children or just take off without explanation. So until we can prove otherwise, we feel she is in danger. Thank you again, everyone.”
E! News reached out to Austin PD for comment but has not heard back. Meanwhile, the department shared a press release with information to help locate Brenna, in which they identify her ex.
“Ms. Swindell was last seen on Thursday, August 22, 2024, around 10:20 p.m. at Poodies Hilltop Bar located at 22308 State Hwy 71 in Spicewood, Texas,” the Aug. 26 release reads. “She was there with her ex-boyfriend, Morgan Guidry. Brenna and Morgan have not been seen since. Both of their phones have been turned off since Friday, August 23, 2024.”
It continues, “Ms. Swindell has not been in usual contact with her family and friends. APD is concerned about her safety and immediate welfare.”
Sarah and Greg’s post noted the former baseball star had traveled to Austin to assist with the search there.
Meanwhile, Sarah added, “First of all, I can't thank you enough for the shares and messages…” and in her most recent updated expressed gratitude for the continued leads and offers for help from the people of Colorado.
And on Aug. 26, alongside a missing person’s bulletin for Brenna, Sarah added, “Please continue to share. Brennie, we love you and your kids need you home!”
